When a woman announces she is expecting a baby, no one imagines a fertilized egg, a sperm cell, and a cluster of cells. Everyone envisions a baby. And everyone begins to relate to that baby, who thus becomes part of a “constellation,” regardless of whether the woman will carry the pregnancy to term.

In reality, the biochemical processes of fertilization and gestation are not yet fully decoded by scientists. Consider that from the same egg fertilized by a single sperm cell, both embryos and associated structures develop—placentas, amniotic sacs, and umbilical cords.

In my phenomenological work, as early as 2010, I observed the existence of amniotic sacs within which smaller amniotic sacs were present. Often, the Surviving Twin exhibits this “sac within a sac” configuration, as shown in the video. This happens because the outer sac, in a sense, acted as a shield or protective cushion for the surviving twin’s sac.

The consequences on daily life are manifold.

The larger sac gives the perception of belonging to a greater reality with more resources. Some Surviving Twins naturally invade others’ spaces, freely using resources that are not their own and to which they have not contributed. For instance, they feel at home in someone else’s house. Even in professional settings, they appropriate spaces, places, and people as if it were their natural right.

Conversely, some Surviving Twins always perceive themselves as intruders. They may even feel like guests in their parents’ home and struggle to “gain ground” in professional environments, moving cautiously and uncomfortably.

“Just as I perceive the outside world from within my amniotic sac, I will perceive the world in the same way. The Amniotic Sacs will be replaced by the domains of our lives, within which I will relive the same perceptions experienced in the womb.”
